This somnolent riverside town sees few visitors. Although, it is a charming place with some lovely examples of French architecture a relaxed atmosphere. There are plenty of surrounding natural attractions, such as mountains, waterfalls, beaches, hill resorts and caves. All of these are fairly easily accessable, and well worth the trip.Security concerns that have kept travellers away in the past are no longer a problem and the town is a good base from which to explore the nearby crumbling beach resort of Kep, and the abandoned hill station of Bokor.
